What are the benefits of subscribing?

When you subscribe, you will be able to;

If I am a subscriber, will I still have to purchase high resolution versions of the ads I request?
A
Yes. Viewing search results, thumbnails, and enhanced ad information (second level) is free for subscribers but high resolution purchases will be charged on a per item basis.

What are the subscription costs?
A
For $50 per month USD, you can subscribe to use enhanced search features of our database, or if you wish, you can click and buy. 6 month subscriptions are available for $240 and annual subscriptions are available for $360.

Are 6 month and 12 month subscriptions charged up front or monthly?
A
6 month ($240) and 12 month ($360) subscription fees are charged up front and will automatically re-occur. Monthly subscriptions ($50 per month) will automatically re-occur until you cancel the service or upgrade your subscription type.

Can I upgrade my subscription?

What happens if I cancel my account?
A
If you subscribe mid-month, we'll only charge you for the partial month. If you cancel mid-month, you will be charged for the full month of service. We will attempt to process your cancel order within 72 hours. If you have a specific billing question, please contact Billing (support@research.adsoftheworld.com).
Searching

What fields are searched when I enter a keyword?
A
When you enter a keyword, all fields in the database are being searched. This includes: title, description, monitor ad code, regional brand, regional category, global category, language, country, city, region, source, copyright and any "extra fields" which were provided by the contributor of the ad record (i.e. advertising agency, directory, production house, rating, etc).

Is there a way to search by Category?

You can search regional categories as supplied by other ad monitors in the keywords field. We expect to have the Master Category List enabled shortly.

How do I save searches?
A
This is not currently supported but is expected to be available soon.

What languages or character sets do you support?
A
Our database supports the UTF-8 character encoding for Unicode. As such, we support all languages and character sets.

How often is new content added?
A
On average, approximately 400,000 records are added every month. This number will continue to grow as we bring on new advertising content throughout the globe.
Results

What to the different icons and media types mean? Pr, Au, Ou, Vi, In?
A
Pr = Print, Vi = Video, Ou = Outdoor, Au = Audio, In = Internet

Are other media types available such as cinema, direct mail, etc?
A
Yes, we are working with our clients to expand the variety of media types on the database and will inject them as they become available.

Why do some thumbnail images appear missing or "broken"?
A
While we attempt to provide clear thumbnails for each search result, sometimes they do not appear as they may be off-line or not in existence. A missing thumbnail does not necessarily indicate that a high resolution clip is unavailable.

How do I select multiple results?
A
There is a check box on the upper left hand side of the result set. Using this check box will allow you to select all / deselect all results from the result set on your screen.

Can I see more than 50 results per page? Can I change the number of results shown?
A
Yes. You can customize your view to 25, 50 or 100 results on one page at a time.

Why do some ads have a specific category listed (i.e. telecom) while other ads do not?
A
As we are constantly adding thousands of advertisements each week, some ads may not have a previously assigned category. We will re-enable our Master Category List shortly.

How can I email selected results to my clients?
A
You can select which results you wish to send by marking the check box in the upper left hand column of a result set. Enter the recipient's email address or addresses in the upper right hand of the dialog box or screen and hit "send"

How can I see additional information about an individual result?
A
Simply click on the thumbnail and you will see all available information about that specific clip.
Ordering and Checkout
Q
How do I order a high resolution version of the advertisement?
A
When you have reviewed the detail concerning a particular ad, you are able to select the "order" button to order the individual ad. You will then be presented with the delivery options for receiving the high resolution versions. If you select http, you will be presented with an http link to download the ad directly from the adfinitum server. If you select email, you should place the recipient's email address in the email field and an http link to the ad will be sent to the recipient. If you select ftp, you will be presented with server, username, password, and directory information to have the high resolution ad placed on the ftp server of your choice. Alternately, you can select the "add to cart" button to place the particular ad in your shopping cart.

What happens after I select a delivery method?
A
You will be asked to confirm the order and agree to the price to be paid for the high resolution version of the advertisement. Once you have confirmed, the ad will be sent to you via the delivery method you specified. You can visit the Account / Order History page to check on the status of your order or download an http version if you selected that method.

I ordered two video clips and selected "email" as the distribution method. I have not received the clip.

Video files (or multiple combinations of other ads) tend to be large in file size and may be over the file size limit established by your email provider. Retry and select either http or ftp delivery as the distribution method.

I ordered several files and they have not appeared.
A
When you purchase a high resolution ad, the adfinitum server must download the ad from a remote server. The speed of this process depends on a number of factors including your connection to the internet, the connection between the adfinitum server and the contributing server and the file size of the ads you requested. Please be patient and allow the process to function. If your ads have not arrived within a few hours, please contact technical support.

How can I see which ads I have ordered?

Please visit the Account / Order History page on the left side menu and input your unique order id.Â

Why does the company "ÂGlobalADSource"Â appear on my credit card statements?
A
Adfinitum is the owner of the website called GlobalAdSource. GlobalAdSource handles all ecommerce for subscriptions and per clip purchases.

Are my payments secure?
A
We offer a secure online payment service. We won't ask you for any payment until we've made sure that you have reviewed your order. You will be provided an opportunity to preview and change your order before it is processed. Once submitted, we will confirm the details via email. Your payment details are automatically encrypted using secure thawte SSL Certificates with FULL authentication capable of 256-bit encryption when you enter them, to ensure the highest level of security.

Do you offer refunds?

No. Customers have no right to redistribute advertising metadata or high resolution content externally. All content is for informational purposes and internal review.
